FAQ

Q: Do you cover emergency work?
A: Yes we certainly do.

Q: How do I know I can rely on the quality of the service?
A: We only employ qualified trades people and other providers who have passed our rigorous selection process. In addition we use your feedback after every job to make sure we get better and better at serving you.

Q: Do I have to use Mymaintenance™ to service my property?
A: We would rather you did but there is no obligation to do so. If you want to do the work yourself or use someone else then that is fine by us. You can upload and update your file to make sure you keep your properties details up to date. If you do have a tradesperson who you would like to use then we can enroll them in to our service.

Q: How easy is it to cancel the service?
A: You can cancel at any time. We would like to know why so that we can improve or correct issues.

Q: What if I am not on line or not very good with computers?
A: Simply phone us as we will update your folder, order work or anything else you may want to do.

Q: How do I know my key will be secure?
A: If you have enrolled for our “Mm key retention” service we will store your key in a locked key vault in an undisclosed location. In the unlikely event that someone did find and break in to the secure vault then there is no address identifier on your key other than a number. This number is in your folder accessible by you on line. The thief would therefore have to break into the vault and break into the secure system in order to match the key to an address!!

Q: How can I be sure that the cost of the service is competitive?
A: You are welcome at any time to test our competitiveness by ordering your own work. You can ask for quotations from as many of our providers as you want.

Q: What happens to my Mymaintenance™ home book folder if I cancel my service?
A: When you cancel your service we will provide you with the data from your folder and delete your folder from our system.

Q: If I forget to update my folder after carrying out some DIY, will my folder become out of date?
A: It will be your responsibility to update your folder if you have carried out work other than through Mymaintenance™. This is easy enough to do by simply uploading any documents to your folder. You can do this at any time.

Q: What happens if I have guarantees on my appliances?
A: We will store the details of any guarantees you have in your folder, including the date the guarantee ends, who it is with, and their contact number. Depending on the terms of your guarantee we can, if you want us to, contact the service provider and arrange call outs for you.

Q: What happens if I have an insurance claim?
A: We can help you to obtain quotes, carry out emergency work and if your policy allows liaise with your insurance company to quickly resolve problems.

Q: Can I use my tried and trusted trades’ people to do work for me?
A: You can either employ them direct and update your folder or you can put them in touch with us and we will enroll them and they can become part of our supply chain partners.

Q: How do I know my information is secure?
A: We use http(s) technology the (s) is for secure. This is the same as the banks use to prevent unauthorised access to your data.
